This week-long learning residency is centered around the study of Zero Balancing Core I in Costa Rica. The course will be held in a private home nestled within Las Baulas National Park; an important turtle-nesting site and near the town of Playa Grande, one of Guanacaste’s renowned surfing areas. This location is a spectacular and peaceful setting in which to learn and relax. In addition to learning ZB I, the week is structured with plenty of downtime to chill, practice ZB’s, and explore the surrounding areas. The house is a 30-minute taxi ride to the bustling town of Tamarindo where there are many shops and restaurants. About Lisa
Lisa Bardarson’s professional experience as a dancer and choreographer were a glimpse into the transformational power of structure (the body) and energy (movement). She was a prominent member of the Philadelphia dance scene for many years and a writer for the on-line dance journal, thINKingDANCE. Her love of movement led her gracefully towards a successful career as a massage therapist starting in the early eighties. Around 1990, her curiosity in Eastern concepts of health drew her towards acupuncture but she chose Zero Balancing. In 2015 she became certified in ZB and more recently as a teacher of ZB. Additional studies include in-depth study at the Laban Institute of Movement Studies and certification as a 500-RYT with a specialty in Yin Yoga. At the start of the pandemic Lisa formed SloMoYo, a movement-based program that she offered gratis via Zoom, as part of her dharma to promote well-being. After 40 years of workand study, Lisa is pleased to fold her understanding of the body into teaching Zero Balancing. Lisa moved to Costa Rica in 2017 with her husband, daughter and two dogs. She divides her time between Tamarindo and Gladwyne, PA.
