Title of Class: Exploring Intersections: Providing a Safe Space for Gender Diverse and Sexual Minority Clients
Cost: $75.00
Pre-Requisites: None
The LGBTQ+ population is in every town, city, and zip code. Over 20 million adults identify under the gender diverse and minority umbrella with over 2 million people identifying as transgender. The need for cultural competence among bodyworkers is important for providing the highest level of care. Is your practice inclusive to the LGBTQ+ community? Are you educated in giving respectful care to non-binary, transgender, and gender nonconforming people? Learn about pronouns, inclusive language, microaggressions, trauma informed care, and how to engender trust. Experiential embodiment practices, breakout sessions, and class discussions are included for enhanced learning. * This class is a safe space for practitioners to ask questions and explore issues around the LGBTQ+ community.
