The 2025 ZB Community Benefit has been designed around listening to you, our ZB Community, and what you want -- just one day rather than two; more time in each session; a blend of practical skills and personal growth; a chance at getting some CEs; and a way to connect with other ZBers and support the field of Zero Balancing.
Please register for this annual Benefit. Those who attend live will receive 2.5 CEUs from NCBTMB for the Ethics portion. Everyone who registers, whether you attend live or watch the recording later, is supporting the ZBHA and providing MUCH NEEDED funds to keep the organization running and supporting the field of Zero Balancing.
The Joy of Empowerment | Saturday, October 18 (all times Eastern)
12:00 noon | Welcome and Pyramid
12:15 p.m. | Connecting to the Essential Vibration of ZB through Portal Painting with Dr. Katey Hauser
In this workshop, we will be gently guided to explore our personal interface with the essential vibration of Zero Balancing through the meditative practice of Portal Painting. Each brushstroke and color choice draws on the principles of the Donkey Touch, inviting a deeper connection to our innately embodied experience of ZB. As we paint, the portal becomes a fulcrum—where transformation unfolds both within the body and on the paper. A simple materials list will be supplied and no painting experience is required.
2:15 p.m. | Movement Break
2:40 p.m. | Ethical Relationships through the Lens of Zero Balancing with Megan Lavery, LPC, LMT
At this time when many of us are facing uncertainty and feeling vulnerable it is important to align our values, principles and actions with authenticity and integrity.
Megan will lead an exploration of Therapeutic Relationships through the lens of Zero Balancing, specifically exploring the overlap between key ZB principles (interface, highest personal regard, donkey leans) and traditional Ethics course subjects (ethical roles, boundaries and power differentials). We will discuss how these apply to our practices and to the ZBHA community as a whole.
4:45 p.m. | ZB Calm and Ground: 3 Minutes, 1 Chair, A Moment of Reset | Workshopping the Seated ZB with Judith Sullivan
Learn a seated, three-minute Zero Balancing session for instant calm. Judith will be providing illustrated instructions to enhance the session, and for registrants to keep as a reference.
